Winter Update Changes during Test Server

Dear Tibians!

Again, we implemented many changes and, hopefully, meaningful improvements throughout and after the test server phase. The list below showcases just a few key adjustments, but even these alone demonstrate how important your voices are in shaping the game. Almost every one of these changes was made because of your feedback. Thank you - you are the heart that keeps this game alive!

Content Changes

Changes to Roost of the Graveborn

  • We have prevented players from getting trapped when entering the hunting grounds.
  • We have adjusted the monster respawn times, density, sensitivities, experience, and loot.
  • A visual cue indicating when someone is inside one of the two hunting grounds that require special rights to enter has been added.
  • We have reduced the number of summons, the cyclursus’ fighting distance, and fear duration.
  • Adventurer Group: The boss room size has been reduced and we changed the effect of the blue crystal from agony damage to mana drain and hex.
  • Ice Horror: We have reduced burst damage and drunkenness.
  • Gravedigger: Sensitivities and targeting have been adjusted and the healing of totems has been reduced, which no longer inflict fear.
  • Eldritch Dragon Lord: We have reduced healing and increased damage intake when totems are kept at a low stage.
  • Bone Overlord: The fear duration of Enthralled Dragons has been reduced and we have changed the Superdrunken effect to Drunken. We have shifted agony damage caused by An Eye from absolute values to percentage-based and reduced fear duration, as well as the probability of being teleported to the bone prison. We have also reduced the burst heal of Elyrax’s Soulcage and fixed the rotation of the Bonelord’s phylactery.
  • We have also added more thematic loot to all bosses and changed the exit teleporters so they now trigger on use and no longer by walking on them.

Changes to Order of the Stag

  • The Warlock's minions will now join forces based on their specific element and their power will rise as soon as there are two or more of their respective element.
  • The marksman "Adlerauge" that watches the outskirts on the Isle of Ada will now telegraph his shots and damage players percentally.
  • We have also reduced the density of hunting grounds, reworked battle tactics and reduced damage.
New Gear
  • Alpha Strike perk now deals increased damage against enemies with ≥ 95% hit points (previously required 100%).
  • We have adjusted protections of Stag Scrolls, Stag Boots, and Stag Footwraps.
  • Protections of the Refined Stag Shield and Stag Helmet have been increased.
  • We have renamed Stag Greaves to Stag Shinguards and changed their augment from Divine Missile to Divine Grenade.
  • We have changed the augment on knight Stag items from Front Sweep to Berserk.
  • We have changed and increased protections of Crypt Bile and Crypt Jaw.
  • Pierce from proficiency perks will not be applied to charms anymore.
  • Weapon proficiencies for all Crypt weapons have been revised.

Feature Changes

Bounty Tasks
  • The Bounty Ring has been renamed to Bounty Talisman and moved from the ring slot to the extra slot.
  • The damage reduction effect has been replaced with Life Leech.
  • The Bounty Talisman now scales up to twice its previous effect limit, with increasing upgrade cost.
  • We have added a highscore for the number of Bounty Points earned.
  • Bounty Tasks have been disabled on Rookgaard.
Weekly Tasks
  • The Hunting Task Point multiplier for completed tasks has been increased.
  • The XP gain has been increased and we introduced a per-task XP cap for Weekly Kill Task.
  • We have added Promotion Points to the Hunting Task Shop. Up to 50 Promotion Points are available with increasing cost.
  • We have added a highscore for the total number of completed Weekly Tasks.
  • Weekly Tasks have been disabled on Rookgaard.
Spell Opacity
  • We have added a separate opacity setting for creature effects in boss areas.
Multi-Action Button
  • The Multi-Action Button no longer supports holding a key to auto-cast. Regular buttons remain unchanged, but Multi-Action Buttons now require releasing and pressing the key again for each action. This keeps the feature aligned with its intended quality-of-life purpose rather than automation.
  • Objects with zero amount and unlearned spells are now automatically skipped by the Multi-Action Button, allowing sequences such as using different potions in succession.
Improved Object Targeting
  • We have added a battle list hotkey 'Attack First Target'.

During the test phase, we also communicated several other minor bugfixes and smaller changes that have been implemented.

All announced changes will be implemented with the release of the winter update. Of course, we will also carefully observe the impact and usage of the new features and content after release, continuing to fine-tune and balance them as needed.

Thank you, Tibians!
