Dear Tibians!
It’s amazing how quickly time passes. It feels like only yesterday that we were writing last year’s review, and now it is already time for the next one - and what a year it has been!
2025 had an unusual start with the launch of something entirely new: the official Tibia Token, a brand-new and innovative alternative for Tibia Coin trading.
While this feature catered more to a niche audience, the next new release was a true game-changer for almost everyone in the Tibia community: the fifth Vocation was announced. We still fondly remember some of the players’ rather incredulous reactions. But disbelief quickly turned into frenzied enthusiasm, and we gladly took the chance to introduce the planned innovation in a whole series of articles over the following weeks, helping to sweeten the wait until the final release in April.
Almost lost amid the commotion surrounding the Monk’s announcement was the arrival of a new terror in Tibia. Rotrender, a villain tied to Azzilon’s fate, would now stalk the lands every six months. A merciless foe.
March then brought a very special anniversary: the Fansite Programme turned 20! To celebrate, we hosted two lotteries, six fansite contests, and featured messages from fansite admins eager to introduce their projects. We will see you at the 40th anniversary - health potions recommended.
Around the same time, we took another important step by bringing Tibia to the Epic Games Store, primarily to attract new players and those still undecided about joining our game worlds.

By July, the summer update arrived, bringing with it two innovative new quests, Bloody Tusks and Between the Lines, and the introduction of the weapon proficiency system as standout features.
Shortly thereafter, we welcomed Newhaven. Along with it came a complete overhaul of the game’s entry process, making the first steps into the world of Tibia more comfortable and efficient for new players. Further adjustments are certainly planned in this area. Keep your eyes peeled in the new year!
And then the winter update rolled in. It brought along two brand-new quests, the long-awaited spell opacity, and a completely revamped task system. Plenty of fresh content to keep players motivated for weeks and months ahead.
Speaking of the next weeks and months: As you probably know, vocation balancing is just around the corner. The Dev Note published in November sparked an incredible amount of feedback - much to the delight of our developers. As you can see, another highlight is already lining up.
And with that, we are closing the book on this year.
We hope these moments, updates, and additions made the year an enjoyable one for you, and that you are already looking ahead with anticipation to whatever adventures the next year may bring.
And finally, as every year, it is time to exchange Christmas tokens with NPC Ruprecht. Don’t miss your chance to win a Ancient Bonelord Santa doll in the festive holiday raffle. Just participate in the feedback form, starting on December 26: What has Santa given you?
We hope the holidays treat you kindly, with time to unwind, reflect, and enjoy.
See you next year!
